Xenophobic Creamsicle Donald Trump will lose by historic numbers in November and it's not because America will come to its senses or anything like that. It will come down to numbers like these things always do. Trump has zero ground game, zero data-gathering and has hacked off every voting group with the exception of the Extremely Dumb and Fearful.
Granted, it turns out this is a larger number than many of us suspected but it won't be enough by a far mark. The final Trump vote will be America's 'Extremely Dumb and Fearful' number and it's worth knowing. Far more chilling is that future Fascists with an eye to run the world have seen how it can be done, and it gets easier for a Fascist without open sociopath Donald Trump's baggage, manifest stupidity and utter lack of political sensibility.
America’s best hope (to say nothing for the rest of the world) is that 8 more years of a Democratic presidency is enough to make people realize how morally and intellectually bankrupt a full half of their democratic process has become. Her best hope is that America makes great strides towards healing the hatred, racism and inequality that haunts her existence today. Her best hope is that America FINALLY takes her rightful place as a leader to the world in the greatest fight in human history, which is of course the fight against Climate Change.
500 years from now they will talk of one story and one story only regarding our time here and now and that is the SHIFT to renewable energies and sustainable life. Literally everything else is window dressing. Even Deplorable Donald.
